2022 Nissan Frontier Gives The Ford Ranger And Chevy Colorado Something To Worry About

This pickup truck is the new 2022 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X. Straight PipesI was given the opportunity to try it out.

Frontier is five inches wider than the previous-generation Frontier. Its wheelbase remains unchanged. This engine also has the same 3.8-liter V6 that produces 310 HP and 281 Lb-ft (381 Nm of torque).

Coupled with the Frontier’s engine is a 9-speed automatic transmission. These reviewers are hugely complimentary of the gearbox, noting that it shifts through the gears quickly and smoothly and when it is in its manual mode, it will happily hit the rev-limiter and won’t change up automatically.

The U.S. Nissan Frontier models come in both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive options. All variants include Hill Start Assist as well Hill Descent Control. You can also get trailer sway control.

Prices for the S Crew Cab 4×4 model then start off at $29,340 and there are no less than 8 different Crew Cab variants on offer. Sitting at the top of the range is the PRO-4X Crew Cab 4×4 starting at $37,240.
