2022 Nissan Murano Gains More Equipment And New Midnight Edition

The Altima isn’t the only model turning to the dark side as Nissan has announced the 2022 Murano is gaining a new Midnight Edition.

Midnight Edition, a Murano SV mid-level crossover, embraces the blackout trend. The crossover has a black grille with black trim and a front bumper accent. This model rides on 20-inch alloy wheels that have a gloss black finish.

Midnight Edition will cost $1,395 for front- and rear-wheel drive. It’s also worth noting the Murano SV gains additional equipment as heated leatherette front seats are now standard for 2022.

There doesn’t appear to be any other changes, but pricing has crept up as the entry-level Murano S now begins at $32,910 before a $1,175 destination charge. That’s $100 more than last year, but the mid-level Murano SV sees a larger price increase of $510. Thankfully, that’s the exception as both the SL and Platinum trims see an increase of $100.

All Muranos have a 3.5 liter V6 engine. It produces 260 HP (194kW/264PS) and 240lb-ft (325Nm), regardless of trim. It’s connected to an Xtronic continuously variable transmission, which can be paired to an optional all-wheel drive system for an additional $1,700.

The new 2022 Nissan Murano has just arrived at dealers and can be purchased now.
