Companies That Manufacture the Best Smart Cars

Smartphones, smartwatches, smart home appliances are a thing we are getting used to in this modern age. And we better get ready for the new ‘smart’ wave of cars about to hit the market like a storm. These cars have made debuts in most car manufacturing countries and are quickly seeping to other states, and in no time we will have nothing but smart vehicles on our roads.

Imagine driving a vehicle that calculates how close you are to hitting something and automatically stops the moment it senses danger. The number of accidents on roads will reduce immensely. But that is not all; these smart cars will bring comfort in addition to safety. Picture taking a nap in your vehicle and your vehicle getting you to your destination with no fuss. This is soon to be a reality, so brace yourself.

With that said, let us take a step back and look at a few companies in the business to make all this happen.

Tesla

If you have been actively following the tabloids, you must have heard, seen, or read about Tesla. Elon Musk’s company has been making waves for years with the trendsetting smart cars already in the market.

The most popular cars under the Tesla umbrella are the Tesla Model S, the Tesla Model X, and the Tesla Model 3. The Model S is a luxury sedan, the Model X is an electric SUV, and the Model 3 is also a sedan, but at a lower cost compared to the Model S.

The company has been in business for a while, and they are not selfish to keep it all to themselves. Tesla shares are available to the public if you want. The issue is, can you match the price? The business is one of the richest, so if you have the funds, why not!

Volkswagen

Remember the legendary German-breed beetle car or the van made famous by the hippies in the 70s and 80s; they were all products of Volkswagen. The company has been making advancements, and today, they stand as one of the car manufacturers in the business in making smart cars. Some smart cars under their catalog are the Volkswagen e-golf and the Volkswagen ID 3.

Chevrolet

This American brand also has a seat at the table with the Chevrolet Bolt with an impressive 220 miles per charge capability. This car truly lives up to its name as it moves at neck-breaking speeds and rules the road. With such a product on the market, Chevy owners ought to be proud of the vehicle as most reviews seem to have rated the car high.

Ford

Yet another American car manufacturer that has quite a portfolio of cars with their logo at the front is Ford. They have moved from the traditional pickups to now plug-in hybrids, adding up in their car production. The Ford Focus is an affordable EV that looks and drives like any other standard vehicle but has a plug-in tech that goes for over 100 miles per charge.

As we move towards a greener planet, it is excellent to know that the big car manufacturers are on board in keeping the planet safe.
