Lincoln Navigation Vs. Cadillac Escalade Vs. GMC Yukon: Which Heavy Weight SUV Is The Fastest?

CarWow recently collected three very bold SUVs from the United States. Few other countries can make such powerful, large, luxury SUVs as America.

Lincoln Navigator was the vehicle that Mat Watson first drove, and it is also the featured vehicle. It’s powered by the basic EcoBoost V6 twin-turbocharged EcoBoost 3.5-liter engine that powers the Ford F-150 Raptor. The EcoBoost V6 generates 450 HP and 508 lb-ft (690Nm) respectively.

The Navigator was joined by the Cadillac Escalade, and the GMC Yukon Denali. Each vehicle has the same naturally-aspirated 6.2-liter V8 which produces 420 HP and 457 Lb-ft (622 Nm) of torque.

Although neither SUV is fast in straight lines, their large size allows them to get the job done quite quickly. It was the Navigator who won the race. He finished slightly ahead the Escalade, Yukon, and other competitors. Second race is closer, as Watson was somewhat complacent when driving Lincoln. However, the Escalade driver Yukon changed their SUVs to their rear-wheel drive mode which appeared to be helping them.

In the end, Lincoln needed just 15.7 seconds to complete the quarter mile in the final of three races. It was slightly quicker than Cadillac (15.9 seconds) and GMC (16.1 seconds).

An open rolling race ensues. The Lincoln is the winner with the most horsepower, torque and power. But the GMC’s lighter weight proves to be the better performer. However, both it and the Cadillac hit speed limiters whereas the Lincoln doesn’t seem to have a speed limiter.
