Watch a Rimac Nevera prototype get thrashed in the dirt by the company’s CEO

Mate Rimac (Rimac CEO) took an electric prototype of Nevera’s Nevera supercar to the off-road before its destruction as part of various crash testing.

This car was one of many pre-series cars Rimac used to demonstrate and attend public events ever since the Nevera’s debut earlier in this year. The car was also used to test the Nevera in crash conditions, which will be used to homologate it for worldwide sales.

The Nevera is given a farewell by Mate Rimac in this video. He initially pointed the Nevera down a dirt road before taking it to the construction site of the company’s new headquarters and technology campus near Zagreb, Croatia.

The Nevera, which is the production version the Rimac C_Two Concept Car first showed in 2018, can be recalled. Mate Rimac stated in 2020 that Rimac developed the original concept car to the point where virtually everything was modified for production.

Nevera’s 4-motor motor powertrain generates 1,914 HP and 1,740 Lb-ft. Rimac claims the Nevera can go from 0-60 mph to a speed of 258 miles per hour, will run the quarter-mile in just 8.6 seconds and accelerate up to a maximum speed of 258 mph. According to Rimac, the Nevera will be equipped with advanced driver assistance tech and drift mode. It will also act as an instructor on track circuits. This package will cost approximately $2.4 million.

Rimac is not just going to be creating its hypercars. To manage Bugatti and its brand, the company entered into joint ventures with Porsche. Bugatti Rimac was officially established earlier in the month. It will also operate out of Croatia.
